Mission 5-8 features Luigi having to beat Mario to the finish, with added Piranha Plants.It is heavily inspired off Tour's makeover of the course, though the graphics have been improved even further, the music arrangement has a new electronic-rock synth to it, and now includes a Wiggler in the forest section, which wakes up on the third lap to cause havoc by running down the track. Not even a day after its reappearance in Mario Kart Tour, this course returns yet again in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass DLC, and is presented as the second race of the Boomerang Cup. Mario Circuit as it appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The track continues as normal until you get to the double hairpin turn section, where elevation has now been added. Once in the newly added forest section, the main road extends further and ends in a ramp after the sharp left turn toward the castle. The mote around Peach's Castle has been noticeably reduced in size, along with Peach's Castle itself featuring a different design from the one seen in the original course. The starting banner has been changed to now feature the modern Mario Kart logo instead of the old, and also now seemingly features the top of Mario's cap as part of the design. While the layout remains faithful to the original, it has received an extensive aesthetic overhaul, featuring an all new forest section after the pipe tunnel.
Mario Circuit makes its first reappearance in Mario Kart Tour as part of the 2023 Mario Tour.
